Introduction

This document will give a short overview of BQC - Desert.
This is a beta release and is limited to read only access.
Dependent on the feedback and our spare time we will develop this software.
For using BQC - Desert you have to:

| Login |
|
Select file - > login from the menu or use the Login Button from the toolbar.
|
|
Enter your email-adress (as login) and password.
If you know your community ID, enter the ID (as login) and activate the checkbox with community ID (see illustration).
Note: If your connection to the Internet runs through a proxy or a firewall, configure the connection first.
Proxy/firewall settings can be done with Preferences.

Preferences
|
| Select file -> settings from the menu. In this dialog you can configure BQC - Desert. |
| Network |
 |
If you are using a proxy or a firewall for your internet connection, activate the checkbox use proxy and enter following data for your internet connection.

Note: After changing the proxy settings the software needs to be restartet

Here you can confine the count of reports, to be read from the server

| Configuration |
 |
The Button show as XML will display the configuration as XML.
The Button delete ALL will reset all configuration settings previously made.
Note: delete ALL is disabled in the current version.

| Exit |
| Select file -> exit from the menu or user Exit Button from toolbar. |
 |
If you confirm this dialog while you were logged in, you will be logged out.
Warning: if you have logged in with the web client, your web client session will be invalid.

| Main window |
| After successfully logged in the main window will change its appearence.
Some menu items will be active and three areas on the main window will get visible: |

In the status bar you will find information about the currently selected area and the working status.
The cancel button on right side of the status bar is active when long lasting jobs are in progress.
The position and dimension of the main window will be saved on exit.

| Report Details |
This window will display all details of a report. With the buttons first, last, prior and next you can navigate through
the reports of the current Report Table.
On the tabs you can obtain serveral details on the report.
Changing to another report wil not change the active tab.
The position and dimension of this window will be saved on exit.
